Kara thrives on all aspects of the real estate business. As an owner of Terra Nova, she wants to know as much as she can about the ever changing world of real estate. She strives to continually provide her clients with exceptional service and education is key to keeping up with the market. She is constantly becoming more educated so that she can better serve her clients, from first-time homebuyers to the investor needing to tackle tax-free exchanges. After selling new construction in her first year of real estate she obtained her license as a North Carolina General Contractor. She's since built and sold a few homes just to see if she could.

As 2006 President of the Chapel Hill Board of Realtors, Kara sees it as one of the greatest compliments when your peers look to you for leadership. She feels it's important to give back to the community you live in and to the Realtor community that helps you to make a living!

Kara also earned the title of Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), the mark of excellence in buyer representation. This designation is awarded by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
